Providence Health & Services Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering in Washington
Providence is calling a Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering to one of our locations in Renton, WA, Seattle, WA, Redmond, WA, Portland, OR, or Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering who will be accountable for the design, build, management and operations of the core platforms and tools that enable business intelligence and analytics for the enterprise. These include the enterprise data warehousing environments, vendor‐supplied data repositories, data integration/movement platforms, and business intelligence/visualization tools. Designs and builds the processes that ensure that mission‐critical information management platforms are stable, scalable and meet all service level agreements for the enterprise. Leads a team of technology professionals with expertise in data warehousing, relational databases, SQL, reporting, and application support. Manages the 24x7 on‐call support process. Partners closely with the operations, engineering, and program management teams to be sure that all cross‐functional information management efforts are successful and provide value to the organization.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Recruit, onboard, motivate and retain a top‐flight technology team.
Experience cultivating and managing effective relationships with technology vendors and service providers; play a central role in RFP, POC and purchase negotiation processes.
Data warehousing, ETL, big data, business intelligence and analytics.
Experience managing data security processes; ability to partner with security, enterprise risk, and legal teams.
Master data management, metadata management, and data quality management principles.
Relational databases, commercial ETL and business intelligence tools.
Enterprise IT practices/ITIL, SDLC, business continuity and disaster recovery.
Manage on‐call rotation using staff and/or contract resources.
Problem management, issue resolution, and change control experience in a large corporate IT environment.
Ability to navigate a complex IT organization to achieve objectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or similar field.
8 years in technology roles.
5 years healthcare industry experience.
3 years in technology management roles.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience leading and participating in Agile methodology.
Experience successfully working with a global team of team members and vendors.
