Providence is calling a RN Practice Manager (Urgent Care Clinic - South Division, Day Shift, Full Time) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Function as a resource to nursing personnel for critical decision-making and problem-solving and patient flow.
Provide guidance, direction and development for clinical staff.
Monitor the compliance of nursing care with established standards of care.
Create, implement and maintain nursing policies/procedures and protocols.
Train, coordinate, and develop staff to assist in the delivery of patient care and provides teaching to patients and families.
May participate on a Continuous Process Improvement Committee to optimize clinical workflow, implement change, make’s adjustments to meet operational goals and evaluates successes.
May participate and manage Clinical Community Outreach projects, continuously monitors and provides input for improvement.
Clinic Operations Responsibilities:
Manage day to day clinic/department operations to ensure smooth operations, quickly resolves operational issues/problems as they are identified.
May operations of clinics that are open 364 days a year, 12 hours each day.
Ensure effective patient care management that promotes high patient satisfaction. Provides input into the development and implementation of new clinic programs to increase and maintain patient volume and satisfaction.
Make regular staff rounds using the Studer model.
Handle daily staffing needs of assigned clinics.
Responsible for staff recruitment working in collaboration with Human Resources.
Coordinate the training and orientation of new provider and staff members; assesses new staff members strengths and growth opportunities.
Function as a multidisciplinary team member, working with the Practice Lead Physician or Division Lead Physician to enhance the delivery of patient care.
Prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, sets goals and objectives, develops action plans to manage goals and process changes.
Provide timely employee evaluations; also provides timely employee coaching, mentoring and disciplinary action as necessary. All disciplinary action will be performed per PMG’s disciplinary process and policies.
Manage difficult or emotional patient care situations, responds promptly and solicits feedback to improve patient care.
Attend and participates at PMG Management meetings or other meetings as requested.
Lead at least monthly staff meetings and ensures distribution of follow-up meeting minutes of the discussion.
Act as a liaison between PMG leadership and clinic providers and staff by proactively communicating with all parties.
Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Facilitate/Lead clinic Lean improvement activities to ensure the development and implementation of processes that support quality patient care and effective work performance.
Report to and works effectively/cooperatively with their assigned Director; keeps Director informed of current management/operational issues. Takes direction from their assigned Director.
Develops annual clinic/department budget. Works to achieve clinic/department financial budget goals. Prepares month-end report for Director which will include a variance analysis.
Support and adheres to established PMG policies, procedures and protocols.
Model professional behavior, good work attendance and appearance expectations.
Ensure all staff and providers are in compliance with applicable licensure, training and accreditation standards. Also ensures that all staff and providers are in compliance with current Federal and State regulations concerning, OIG, CMS, HIPAA, WISHA, OSHA, CLIA, etc.
Participate in strategic planning, marketing and business growth and development.
Work with Revenue Cycle Management to ensure the accurate and timely billing of charges.
Adhere to established company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current unencumbered WA RN license.
Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Ten (10) or more years or nursing experience.
Six (6) years of Management experience.
Computer skills: Experience with Microsoft word, Excel and Electronic Medical Record.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Ambulatory care experience, acute care experience clinic procedures, ability to create Policies and Procedures, implement, and monitor annually, knowledge of Regulatory compliance such as OSHA,CLIA and HIPAA, schedule management, registration, use of electronic medical record, patient flow, continuous process Improvement Lean, billing/coding referrals and authorizations.
