Providence is calling a current caregiver to develop his or her career with this new opportunity: Registered Dietitian in Clinical Nutrition at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA.

In this position you will:
Plan and provide medical nutrition therapy to patients
Include nutritional assessment, development of therapeutic plan, nutrition education and monitoring of patients response to medical nutrition therapy.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned units
Involved in performance improvement activities designed to improve quality of patient care and maximize resource utilization
Participation in peer reviews, self-assessment, and continuing education to assure that competency is maintained, demonstrated and improved on an ongoing basis is required
Act as a liaison between FNS and assigned nursing units and must be able to work compatibly with coworkers and physicians
Provide education regarding nutrition and department operations to other members of the health care team
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field - or - Master's degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field
Current registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration or within 120 days of hire
Experience in Clinical Dietetics specifically with age group to be served (neonate, infant, toddler, preschool, school-age child, adolescent, early adult, middle adult, older adult)
Advanced Certification by American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition, American Association of Diabetics Educators or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Previous work experience in acute care and/or outpatient settings, as applicable
