Providence Dietitian in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Dietitian (Pips East Enteral Therapy, Days, 1.0) to Providence Infusion & Pharmacy Services in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Review, update, and modify forms used for nutrition screening, nutrition assessment and clinical follow-up as needed.
Review, update, and modify definitions of nutritional risk, frequency of reassessment based on nutritional risk.
Collaborate in the design, development and implementation of age (pediatric/adult/geriatric) and disease appropriate nutrition assessments and nutrition support care plans by utilizing clinical standards determined by, but not limited to, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Society For Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, and National Council on Aging, Inc.
Assist staff to ensure appropriate documentation has been obtained for reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer sources.
Monitor, evaluate, and adjust the nutrition support regimen as indicated by lab work, patient condition/tolerance, nutritional needs, and guidelines set by Medicare, Medicaid or other payer groups.
Document nutritional care in the patient's medical record utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process. Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
Collaborate with other team members, as well as the patient/family, in the decision making process, the implementation, monitoring, and control of the nutritional support care plans to improve or maintain nutritional status; Consider cultural, religious practices, emotional barriers, desires, motivation to learn, physical/cognitive limitation, and language barriers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
1 year hospital or home care experience
Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration
WA State Dietitian Certification required (for new grad or inter-state applicant, must obtain within 180 days)
CPR certification within 30 days of hire
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and automobile
Proof of vehicle insurance
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in enteral/parenteral nutrition
Pediatric, adult and geriatric experience
Development of nutrition related forms and policies and procedures

Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Spokane, Washington provides home and ambulatory infusion services to pediatric and adult patients in Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.
