Providence is calling a Central Distribution Stock Clerk II (Medical Supplies, Variables, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:

• Maintain and promote positive, open and honest interpersonal relationships with customers (physicians, employees, visitors, patients, and other SHMC publics). Provide high quality service to all customers; focuse on understanding customers’ needs and follows through. Demonstrate respect for the capabilities, different cultures and or personalities of co-workers and Medical Center publics within the mission/values of SHMC

• Promote and demonstrate effective, open and honest written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate self-management behaviors which reflect a positive image of SHMC, following established policies and procedures and promote an efficient, cost effective work environment

• Demonstrate good stewardship of resources by treating property of customers, Sacred Heart Medical Center and co-workers with care and respect

• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of staff and other disciplines for problem solving without blaming

• Demonstrate flexibility by readily adapting to different situations to complete work

• Perform the Central Service Distribution Stock Clerk role by meeting the following criteria:

• Correct issues and deliver supplies and equipment requested through the computer system, hand written vouchers, telephone, or walk up

• Fill and deliver supplies correctly for nursing units/departments as requested

• Remove consistently empty boxes and trash, especially from assigned areas, sweeping under carts as necessary

• Shelve freight correctly, checking paperwork as required

• Access correctly computer to determine location and/or status of stock

• Alert inventory control clerk when stock levels on shelf varies from amounts in the computer system

• Possess ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of the products and related items stored in Central Services

• Perform other duties that may become the responsibility of the Central Services Department or as requested by the supervisor

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

• Acceptable references from former employer

Preferred qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• One (1) year experience in Central Services
