Swedish Medical Center Social Worker - Multiple Sclerosis Center in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Social Worker (Per Diem , Day Shift) to work in Multiple Sclerosis Center at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.

Participates in the inpatient or outpatient activities. Engages in independent decision-making about psychosocial needs, provides psychosocial services to individuals and their families, and provides formal and informal meetings regarding patient and family communication and decision making. Provides direct patient care as well as consultative services to assure the delivery of state-of- the-art care..

In this position you will:

  • Social Worker is guided by the NASW Code of Ethics and the Swedish Mission and Vision in daily practice.

  • Delivers upon the service expectations of both our patients and fellow staff members by listening to their needs; engaging in positive interactions; and following through on promises made in a thoughtful, efficient, timely and courteous manner so that their total outcome is better than expected.

  • Respects the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients.

  • Works in a safe manner, adhering to general safety precautions and standards. Reports any unsafe conditions to their supervisor and/or the safety hotline.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree social Work

  • Advanced training, geriatric or medical social work.

  • 3 years Inpatient, outpatient, or home-based social work

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

The 697-bed tertiary-care center on the Swedish/First Hill campus is the flagship of the Swedish health-care system.
