Swedish Health Services Senior Medical Staff Data Administrator - Medical Staff Services in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Senior Medical Staff Data Administrator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Medical Staff Services at Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA.

The Senior Data Administrator has overall responsibility for coordination of the computerized medical staff services and quality performance databases. The administrator works in conjunction with the system-wide data experts to ensure the integrity of the data used for medical staff performance reporting and quality improvement. Assures that focused and professional performance measures are provided to individual medical staff members at regular intervals.

In this position you will:

  • Provides oversight for the medical staff databases and ensures data integrity and security

  • Works across multiple data sources and repositories to maximize data integration

  • Provides support to Credentialing Supervisor and staff in their day-to-day activities

  • Seeks and implements the most appropriate, efficient, and technologically sound methods for data management

  • Creates databases and other data reporting tools that meet generally recognized standards for database development.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educ/experience

  • Five (5) years experience in management of clinical data systems

  • Extensive experience with variants of SQL including writing stored procedures and triggers

  • Experience in the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources; experience with SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, and DTS operations.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in systems documentation and production of technical manuals

  • Experience in training users with various levels of technical backgrounds

  • Demonstrated experience working with teams in the development and support of applications and implementation of production systems

  • Prior experience in Internet, browser & HTML technology
