Swedish Health Services Radiation Therapist I Float - Radiation Oncology in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Radiation Therapist I Float (Per Diem, Day Shift) to work in Radiation Oncology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
Utilizes his/her technical abilities to simulate and/or deliver a course of radiation therapy as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. Travels to multiple clinic sites on a regular basis, sometimes working at more than one clinic per day. Has a car, or other suitable mode of transportation, to travel between clinic sites. This position is expected to perform work at any Swedish radiation oncology facility either on a prescheduled basis or by floating.
In this position you will:
Delivers a planned course of radiation therapy
Verifies the mathematical accuracy of the prescription
Maintains daily records and documents technical details of the treatment administered in Mosaiq
Observes the clinical progress of patients undergoing radiation therapy, recognizing the first signs of any complication, and determines when treatment should be withheld until a physician may be consulted
Provides patient care and comfort essential to radiation therapy procedures while adhering to all safety policies and regulations
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a radiation therapy technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology
State of Washington, Department of Health, Certified Radiological Technologist – Therapeutic
Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Certified in Radiation Therapy
A valid driver’s license and valid vehicle registration form
In the case of a newly relocated individual, a Washington state license must be acquired under the circumstances and within the required timeframe set by the state of Washington
Possession of the minimum (or greater) insurance coverage as mandated by the state of Washington
One (1) year experience as a Registered Technologist, certified in Radiation Therapy
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience with Elekta linear accelerators and Mosaiq oncology management system
