Swedish Health Services Physical Therapist - Pain Services in Seattle, Washington

Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Physical Therapist (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to work in Pain Services Department at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, Washington.
The Physical Therapist (PT) is a member of the interdisciplinary team that provides direct clinical services to the Swedish Pain Services (SPS) including the outpatient "Functional Restoration" center and hospital-based "Pain Management" suite.
In this position you will:
Evaluate and develop individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
Documentation meets regulatory requirements, departmental standards, and considers reimbursement needs. Documents on day of visit, usually at time of visit
Carries out assigned responsibilities in a timely and complete manner, using appropriate judgment and detail
Responds to requests in a positive and helpful manner
Takes initiative to identify and resolve problems, and is pro-active in facilitating operational improvement
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
A graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy
Possesses valid Washington state physical therapy license, or temporary permit
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
For designated therapists completing home safety evaluations a valid driver’s license and valid vehicle registration form is required. In the case of a newly relocated individual, a Washington state license must be acquired under the circumstances and within the required timeframe set by the state of Washington
For designated therapists completing home safety evaluations possession of the minimum (or greater) insurance coverage as mandated by the state of Washington also required
Strong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic pain
Ability to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans
Strong orthopedic background
Highly developed interpersonal, and counseling skills required.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects.
Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population
Ability to work effectively with groups
Ability to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals within and outside Swedish
Ability to work in different settings as required by system needs
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from accredited DPT program
Women’s health continuing education or certification experience
Pain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialist’s health continuing education or certification experience
Experience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations based on campus needs
Experience treating chronic pain
