Swedish Health Services Medical Assistant - Float Pool in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Medical Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Float Pool Department in Seattle, WA.
The Medical Assistant Float will assist with and provide patient care, under the supervision of a practitioner, in a float capacity at various clinics throughout the Greater Seattle area. This position may be held by a WA Certified Health Care Assistant

In this position you will:
Greet and prepare patients for the practitioner. Obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem. Perform sight and hearing tests as indicated.
Ensure confirmation of patient identity with each patient encounter.
Obtain specimens according to clinic policies and procedures.
Under supervision of practitioner or nurse supervisor, administer approved medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal, topical, otic, ophthamolgic or inhaled routes.
Provide patient mobility assistance as necessary.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a certified medical assistant program.
Active Interim Certificate or Active Medical Assistant Certified through Washington State; required by date of hire.
If in Active Interim Certification Status applicant must pass one of the following exams within 120 days of hire: AAMA, AMT, NHA NCCT
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum one year of medical assisting in a clinic setting
