Providence Lead Social Worker MSW in Seattle, Washington


Providence is calling a Lead Social Worker MSW (1.0 FTE, DAY SHIFT) to the Pace Mlk at Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. The Lead Social Worker MSW is responsible for identifying best practice and providing assessment of social work staff skills, giving performance feedback related to clinical skills and clinical-reasoning, and providing back-fill participant care as assigned.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrates and informs proficiency in all essential functions of PACE social work roles per job description. Develops, organizes and updates participant and clinician resources as needed. Effectively and efficiently reviews health sciences literature on topics such as social work diagnosis, practice, participant management, outcomes, health policy, communication, research, and social determinants of health, diversity/equity/inclusion, and communicates that information through verbal, written, and/or electronic means to promote best practice. Acts as a resource for social work staff and IDT regarding the above information

  • Effectively communicates with EP WA leadership and social work staff about clinical information as it is updated

  • Effectively collaborates with outside agencies for EP WA social work including oversight and coordination of student training programs

  • Supports social work department quality improvement metrics and initiatives

  • Keeps informed of PACE program regulation changes, changing healthcare environment needs, changing department procedures, and collaborates with EP WA leadership to develop EP WA social work department strategies to respond to these changes


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work

  • Current Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW)

  • Current Washington State driver’s license

  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification

  • Three (3) years work experience in related Social Work setting

  • Three (3) years work experience with geriatric population
