Swedish Health Services Dietitian Outpatient - Non-Surgical Weight loss Services in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Dietitian Outpatient (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Non-Surgical Weight Loss Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Nutrition Specialist position participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the bariatric surgery education program at the Non-surgical Weight Loss Services program.
In this position you will:
Applies nutrition care process for developing the patient care plan which includes assessing the needs of the patient and family, formulating the educational plan, implementing, evaluating and revising as needed. Communicates information and coordinates patient care with appropriate members of the health care team.
Performs and documents comprehensive nutritional assessments. Assists patients to set individualized goals. Provides nutrition care consistent with SWLS program philosophy.
Designs and provides nutrition education to patients and their families to facilitate behavioral changes and thereby improve nutritional status, prevent complications associated with certain diseases or prevent progression of disease.
Assists in the management of department resources such as education materials and retail nutrition products.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics
Current national registration as a Registered Dietitian
Current Washington State Certified Dietitian
Four (4) years Nutrition experience, preferably one year in ambulatory care setting or community health
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with bariatrics/weight management
