Swedish Health Services Data Analyst - Aco Support in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for Data Analyst (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Aco Support at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
Responsible for performing a variety of business analyses to support the administrative operations of the physician practices and the medical group at large in pursuit of developing and standardizing its monthly operating reports and delivering actionable data with meaningful analyses to provide clear line of site into areas of opportunity.
In this position you will:
Oversees and prepares Monthly Operating Reports, Dashboards, drill down reports/visualizations and ad hoc reports as required by executive and senior leadership.
Serve as the primary steward of stakeholder needs, translating high-level business, clinical, and operational questions into specific requirements that can be answered using the systems' data assets.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to prioritize and generate robust dashboards that address multiple needs and serve as the sources of truth on key business and care metrics.
Lead analytics projects from creation to completion using a Clinical Operations and Business Analytics operating model and provide quantitative and qualitative analytic support that incorporate finance and clinical operations within the medical group.
Develop interactive dashboards using modern business intelligence tools that allow users to drill down to the data that matters most to them.
Query, review and analyze data from multiple internal/external sources to create and analyze operating reports, dashboards, drill down reports/visualizations on key performance indicators.
Monitors and tracks performance for each practice and physician, making recommendations for revenue enhancement, cost containment and/or creating efficiencies.
Monitors and tracks key performance indicators and statistics for reporting to the leadership team.

Responsible for developing physician practice analyses and determining the value proposition across the system (ambulatory, acute, etc.), including an understanding of physician productivity and health care trends (e.g., payor contracting, population health management) that impact future utilization and financial performance.
Prepare and present summaries of data for executive stakeholders looking to address the most pressing and impactful needs.
Complete business analysis planning and monitoring for key stakeholder groups and provide effective communication to those groups.
Facilitate leadership discussions on development and improvement activities.
Complete problem definition and analysis to assist in business case development.
Provides subject matter expertise on operational metric development.
Participates in physician practice assessments under the guidance of others.
Participates in business planning activities in support of strategic alignment and best practice execution across the system.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, improving organization performance program, safety standards.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Two (2) years related experience in a physician and medical group financial and or opertational analysis, preferably within an integrated healthcare delivery system inclusive of abulatory and acute core operations.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). and Relational Databases (Access, SQL Server
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge of Medical Group and Hospital financial systems (e.g. Anodyne, Epic)
Project Management, LEAN, CAP or other change managemnet certification
