Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinic Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Heart and Vascular Clinic at

Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, Washington.

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for providing supervisory, administrative and operational support oversight for clinic

functions and special projects on a day to day basis as required.

In this position you will:

  • Supervise functional area and staff, as assigned

  • Resolve staffing coverage issues on a daily basis

  • Ensure clinic/practice reports are completed and processed in a timely manner

  • Ensure that clinic/practice accounts and invoices are accurate; expedite processing of delinquent and/or inaccurate

accounts/invoices

  • Ensure that clinic/practice deposit is processed and recorded on a daily basis

  • Ensure patient appointments are efficiently scheduled

Provide supervisory, administrative and operational support oversight for clinic functions and special projects on a day to day basis as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

o Supervise functional area and staff, as assigned.

o Effectively respond to all patient feedback and customer service issues, maintain written log and participate in related problem solving.

o Demonstrate leadership in decision-making, communications and problem solving.

o Coordinate with the Clinic Administrator, Clinic Medical Director, Director of Operations and other staff to set appropriate goals for the clinic/practice.

o Communicate clinic/practice goals to employees and ensure that they have the tools and means necessary to achieve them.

o Assist the Clinic Administrator with employee issues.

o Assist in hiring new employees and coordinate training and orientation programs.

o Coordinate clinic/practice operations and activities to ensure efficient and quality delivery of services.

o Develop and monitor clinic/practice budget categories as assigned by Clinic Administrator or Director of Operations.

o Monitor office supplies budget and place orders when warranted.

o Perform specialized functions and/or projects as assigned.

o Promote the mission of Swedish externally in a positive way. Function as an ambassador for Swedish when interfacing with anyone outside the organization.

o Demonstrate the Swedish values including patient-centered care

Qualifications:

Required qualifications this position include:

Education:

Coursework/Training Completion of at least one year of Business College or advanced secretarial, medical terminology, or office management training. Or equivalent educ/experience

Education/Experience Equivalencies

Or level of knowledge equivalent to that acquired through completion of at least one year of Business College or advanced secretarial, medical terminology, or office management training.

License/Certification:

o None required.

Experience:

3 years Progressively more responsible work experience in a health care office environment.
