Swedish Health Services Cardiac Technician Senior - Heart And Vascular Clinic in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Cardiac Technician Senior (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Heart and Vascular Clinic at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
Primary support for EP cardiologists assisting in pacemaker and defibrillator interrogation and implant. Serves as lead to Cardiac Technician staff and ensures that Holter Monitor scans are completed for the purposes of producing optimal diagnostic reports to be interpreted by a physician, performs daily treadmill testing for the Echocardiography Lab, interpretation of EKG and oversees maintenance, accuracy and billing of the trans-telephonic pacemaker check appointments, billing and schedules.
In this position you will:
Responsible for all pacemaker and defibrillator checks with physician back up
Provide support to EP physician in OR as requested or scheduled by physician
Responsible for maintaining all documentation (policies/procedures) for the Arrythmia Department including; Pacemakers, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitoring and Transtelephonic pacemaker checks
Responsible for placement of Holter Monitors and performing the scanning and initial interpretation
Facilitate Holter and Transtelephonic equipment maintenance as needed. Escalate any issues to the Nursing Supervisor as appropriate.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program or accredited school of registered nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
Cardiovascular Technician certification (CVT) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist certification (CCDS) required upon hire
RN licensure in the state of WA required upon hire, if RN
Three (3) years previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist or Acute Cardiac Care Nurse
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Completion of ATI training
