Swedish Health Services Business Office Manager - Central Business Services in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Business Office Manager (1.0 FTE, DAY SHIFT) to work at the Central Business Services located in Seattle, WA.
The Business Office Manager over Customer Service and Financial Services is responsible for the daily operations and management of the two aforementioned teams and processes. This position is responsible for developing and implementing appropriate business office practices and monitoring effectiveness to ensure compliance with the organizations focus on customer and patient satisfaction as it relates to billing practices and timely account resolution.
In this position you will:
Function as an effective manager in relationship with other department managers and staff; ensure positive interface with patients, third party payers and related personnel
Collaborate with management team members to provide strategic goals to the Revenue Cycle department
Provide oversight, and monitoring, of Revenue Cycle committees related to patient satisfaction and leadership development
Implement efficient methods of customer service where appropriate, taking into account feedback from employees and customers. Evaluate current processes to look for ways to reduce costs and to improve productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and supervisors, provide direction to business office staff which may include Financial Counselors, Customer Service, Financial Services, Coding, Insurance follow-up, Payment Posting and/or Refund teams
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or other closely related field or equivalent educ/experience
Three (3) years progressively more responsible related work and personnel management experience in health care industry
