Swedish Health Services BMT Coordinator - Hematology Oncology in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a BMT Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work for the Swedish Cancer Institute's (SCI) Hematology Oncology team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The BMT Coordinator is responsible for performing complex assessments, plan patient care, provide direct care, and educates and orient patients, families and staff.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for assessment of needs, education, and coordination of the care of BMT and certain Blood Cancer patients and their families required throughout the disease process
Be responsible for communicating all aspects of the plan of care with patients, families, and other members of the Transplant Team, other health care providers, and payors
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or must actively pursue and attain a BSN within six years of hire
Current Washington State Registered Nursing License
Current BLS certification
Minimum of three years current oncology nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Oncology Certified Nurse certification
Hematology / Stem Cell Transplantation experience strongly preferred
