Swedish Health Services Biomedical Equipment Technician Student Intern - Clinical Engineering in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Health Services is calling a Biomedical Equipment Technician Student Intern (0.0 FTE, Days) in the Clinical Engineering to Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA

The Biomedical Equipment Technician Student Intern will be a critical part of healthcare delivery at Providence/Swedish. With over 500,000 medical devices utilized in the delivery of healthcare, the installation, maintenance, and oversight of these devices is the main focus of our CE teams. Each day Clinical Engineers work alongside clinicians to ensure devices are safe and effective in diagnosing and treating patients. With over 50 hospitals and 700 clinic locations across 7 states, our CE teams support care delivery in all levels of care.

In this position you will:

  • Identify and apply technical concepts and terms used in the field

  • Analyze and troubleshoot electronic systems

  • Use and configure computer hardware, operating systems and basic networks

  • Use word processing and electronic circuit simulation software

  • Repair/maintain equipment under direct supervision of Biomedical Electronics Technician

  • Apply relevant information from various sources to address workplace problems.

  • Assist other Biomedical Electronics Technicians and perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Coursework/Training: Student currently enrolled in High School

  • Three (3) months: Student currently enrolled in High School
