St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Patient Handling Tech in Santa Rosa, California

We are looking for a Patient Handling Tech - National Union Health Workers with the Nursing Administration at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Work Schedule: Part time - 40 Biweekly hours

Shift: 8 Hour - Variable shift

Job Summary:

Transports patients of all ages throughout the hospital. Assists in the maintenance of and provides proper use of the patient handling equipment. Helps to maintain the efficiency of the department through additional duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology as appropriate to the responsibilities of the job

  • Knowledge of radiation safety, and safety related to imaging equipment (e.g., MRI)

Minimum Position Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience.

Experience : Previous work related experience desired, preferably in an acute care facility

Training: Successful completion of the Work Safe Patient Handling Class

License/Certification: BLS certification

Preferred Position Qualifications: Previous experience in a health care setting
