St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Lead Mammography Tech - Radiology - Sotoyome in Santa Rosa, California

We are looking for a Lead Mammography Tech - Staff Nurses Association with the Radiology - Sotoyome Department at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly hours

Shift: 8 Hour Days

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Imaging Manager, the Lead Radiology Technologist works under general supervision to assist the radiologist in performing diagnostic procedures for patients; and works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel as well as basic supervisory functions for the radiology techs within the medical office.

Skills :

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to sufficiently perform and assist Radiologists in diagnosing all patients.

  • Consistently demonstrates technical proficiency in producing x-ray with the ability to recognize anatomical structures.

  • Consistently demonstrate competence in performing all radiology exams according to age-appropriate protocols.

  • Skilled in trouble-shooting equipment operation within the department.

  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and public. Ability to apply written guidelines as standardized work practices.

  • Ability to identify problems and communicate clearly.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education : Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Science with completion of a formal radiologic technology program required.

Experience : Requires two (2) years’ experience in mammography.


  • CRT (M) Mammography

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R)(M)

  • CRT (F) Fluoroscopy

  • Current CPR (BLS) certification

  • Documentation of CME's for Mammography

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Experience : Three (3) years’ experience as a mammography
