We are looking for a Lead CT/MRI Technologist for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Department at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Work Schedule: Full Time - 80 Biweekly Hours
Shift: 8-hour, Days (Variable)
The Lead CT/MRI Technologist performs all duties and functions related to planning, organizing and performing computerized tomographic and Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures. The Lead Technologist assists in the supervision of CT/MRI Technologists, selection of equipment, maintaining supply inventory necessary for efficient department operation. The Lead CT/MRI Technologist will participate with their manager/supervisor in problems solving of equipment failures and notify bio-med when needed for efficient departmental operations. The Lead CT/MRI Technologist will be responsible to train new staff as per departmental needs.
Instructs other technologists in skills necessary for CT/MRI imaging. Consults with Manager and Supervisor as needed to maintain image quality and protocols.
Assists manager in development of quality improvement and interdisciplinary programs pertinent to CT/MRI services.
Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies for efficient department operation.
Fulfills all duties required by the department, quality assurance, Federal, State and Joint Commission requirements. Prepares for the annual physicists inspection.
Provides input/documentation to the department Manager/Supervisor for personnel performance appraisals, counseling and disciplinary action.
Perform all duties necessary to produce quality computerized tomographic images and magnetic resonance imaging.
Assists in development of protocols pertinent to CT/MRI exams.
Maintain Quality Assurance for ACR guidelines for patient dose. Responsible for compliance requirements to include, daily, weekly monthly and semi-annual tests are performed.
Performs IV Venipunctures.
Maintains established protocols.
Responsible for ACR accreditation.
Performs visual inspection of images to ensure technical quality of radiograph.
Knowledge of Radiological/Multi-slice Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging associated patient care skills.
Teamwork and flexibility skills.
Minimum Position Requirements:
Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Science with completion of a formal radiologic technology program.
Experience: 2 years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
Fluoroscopy Permit to perform procedures requiring the use of fluoroscopy. Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining fluoro permit within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into this position.
Venipuncture Certification for Contrast Media Procedures.
Advanced Certification with the ARRT in Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
