St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Clinical Dietitian in Santa Rosa, California

We are looking for a Clinical Dietitian with the Nutrition Services at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: On Call - 2 Biweekly hours

Shift: 8 Hour - Days

Job Summary:

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the nutrition care management of inpatients: nutrition risk screening, assessment, nutrition support, care plan implementation, monitoring. Other duties may include inpatient and outpatient education, multi-disciplinary committee/team participation, quality improvement activities, collaboration with medical staff, mentoring of dietetic interns, and community education. Minimal direct supervision required.

Skills:

  • Ability to calculate nutritional components of enteral and parenteral feedings, as well as to calculate nutrition needs based on age, height, weight and other medical indices.

  • The ability to apply extensive clinical nutrition knowledge.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Registered Dietitian or eligibility for Registered Dietitian

Training: On the job

License/Certification:

  • RD or RD eligible (certification required within 6 months of employment)

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2 years acute care experience with proficiency in nutrition support; ICN, subacute/rehab/SNF knowledge desirable.
