Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our growing Intensive Care Unit team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full time, 0.9. 12 hour variable shifts (primarily nights). Shifts include weekends.
Are you a nurse with at least 1 year of Acute Care nursing experience looking to specialize in ICU? Do you thrive in critical situations? Do you enjoy working as part of a patient centered, multi-disciplinary team? If so, this may be the training opportunity for you!
As a part of our Clinical Academy, we are offering a 12-14 week course which includes, simulations, computer based learning as well as preceptor training to our ICU! Our ICU course will start the week of August 3rd, 2020.
About our Intensive Care Unit (ICU):
Beacon Designated by the AACN, our ICU’s are multi-disciplinary, Intensivist-run units that focus on state of the art technology and current, evidence based standards of care. The 9 th and 10 th floors of the River Pavilion comprise our ICU’s for a total of 40 beds. A Shared Governance model has been adopted so that decisions regarding patient care are made by the staff who are at the bedside. The majority of eligible RN’s have their CCRN’s and continued education is both expected and supported. Our ICU’s have a mix of open heart surgeries, cardiac interventions, neurosurgical, trauma, pulmonary, and sepsis. We also have the only hypothermia post arrest program in the area.
Nursing degree/diploma upon hire required.
All Registered Nurses without a Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) degree or higher must obtain a BSN within 3 years from date of hire required.
Active Washington State RN licensure required.
Current American Heart Association Provider BLS required.
ACLS within 6 months.
Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Nursing degree (BSN) preferred.
Certification in related specialty area preferred.

As a Registered Nurse you provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. You are also accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient’s care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes.
Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs of those we serve.
Foster a learning environment for patient/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team including students.
Align practice with safety and quality. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems.
Engage in ongoing professional development; promote a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research and evidence based practice.
Lead and coordinate teams, delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge.
