Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our growing Cardiac Cath Lab team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part-Time, 0.75 FTE. 8/10 hour shifts. Shifts include weekend and call.
Graduation from of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and/or graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist program.
Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification (RT) or Washington State DOH Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification (IS). WA State Certification noting Diagnostic Authorization Date.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with Radiography (R) credential or Cardiovascular Credentialing International with RCIS credential.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
ACLS within 6 months from date of hire into the position.
- Two (2) years interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization Technologistyou provide Cardiovascular/Radiologic care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders; Assists physician as required and does related work as assigned.
Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standard of Excellence and Code of Conduct.
Follow all National Patient Safety Goals.
Perform Cardiac Catheterization and or Interventional Radiology procedures in the role of scrub, circulate, and monitor.
Prepare patient and all necessary equipment for procedure. Operates needed equipment.
Produce high quality medical imaging thru the use of cine-radiography using the ALARA methodology under direct supervision of Physician.
Post and process all exams prior to transferring images to PACS.
Navigate workstations regarding film retrieval and archiving.
Monitor patient condition on the computer, documents and alerts physician as needed.
Consult with the Radiologist or Cardiologist regarding procedure to be accomplished as needed.
Assist physicians in locating patient radiographs.
Assist with patient scheduling as required.
Greet patient pleasantly, confirms identification and explains examination procedure to the patient.
Adhere to all radiation safety precautions and aseptic techniques. Follows departmental policies and procedures.
Complete appropriate documentation as prescribed by the department and for quality control activities.
Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Position patients in a manner which is safe, utilizing the appropriate safe patient handling equipment and technique, allowing patients to be comfortable both physically and emotionally.
May transport patients to and from departments utilizing proper techniques of body mechanics to protect patients and personal safety.
