Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Manager RN ASC to join our growing Tricity Regional Surgery Ctr team located in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: Full-Time, 1.0, 8 hour day shift

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree (BSN) from an accredited educational institution

  • If Bachelor’s Degree is in progress, Bachelor’s Degree should be completed within three (3) years upon hire

  • Two (2) years recent experience in area of specialty (Peri-OP or OR)

  • Current WA State RN Licensure required

  • AHA BLS required

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Two (2) years practice management experience

  • One (1) year supervisory experience

  • Lean process improvement experience

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Manager RN ASC KC yuo will assume accountability for the operational management and patient care management for the Ambulatory Surgery Center; Remains responsible for coordination of care provided in all Perioperative Areas within the Surgery Center; Exhibits behaviors that enhance professional performance and reflect the key moral commitment, ethical principles, values and philosophy of Kadlec; Promotes staff productivity through a defined care delivery system, staff development and positive staff morale, which includes staff involvement in program development and facilitation of staff shared decision making on issues affecting their patient care practices; Remains responsible for measuring the quality of care provided on the unit/service by integrating a quality assessment and improvement program; Applies leadership skills and CQI principles when serving as a representative on multidisciplinary committees, Perioperative Committees, appointed task force committees and Medical Center committees; Ensures that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for operations and customer satisfaction are met, which includes pre-planning, patient evaluation, preparation, arrivals utilization, start time and turnovers; and assists with facility compliance with rules and regulations as defined by State and Federal Requirements.

  • Assesses staffing needs according to scheduled cases, patient needs and appropriate staff and skill mix.

  • Plans staffing according to identified needs and staffing patterns to meet the needs of the physicians and communicates schedule to staff in advance.

  • Continuously assesses progression of the daily schedule and adjusts staffing assignments as needed to provide optimum patient care and productivity.

  • Coordinates schedule and demonstrates flexibility when schedule or staffing availability changes.

  • Arranges for provisions of breaks and lunches for staff.

  • Assesses and provides equipment and supply needs based on scheduled cases.

  • Assists in the evaluation of new equipment and supplies.

  • Remains in compliance with contract purchasing to the extent that clinical condition allows.

  • Applies current knowledge of applicable AORN & ASPAN, APIC standards, Joint Commission standards, AAAHC standards, state regulations and related legal issues.

  • Rounds for patient/staff feedback.

  • Monitors quality of care.

  • Facilitates decision-making and problem solving within the units.
