Kadlec Breast Ultrasound Technologist in Richland, Washington
Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing Mammography team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: On Call, 0.0, 40 Hour Day Shift
Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program or Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology Training Program specializing in Breast Ultrasound and/or Mammography.
Associate's Degree (or higher) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Associate's Degree (or higher) in Radiologic Technology.
Current ARRT or ARDMS Ultrasound credential required or registry eligible required.
If registry-eligible, registered status is required within one year from date of hire into the position.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
1 year experience in medical sonography as a registered sonographer or as a registry eligible sonographer preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Ultrasound Technologist you will independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the direction of a Radiologist.
Demonstrate and sustain compliance with the Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standards of Excellence and Code of Conduct.
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician following evaluation of the physical condition of the patient to include the appropriateness of the procedure; Consult with radiologist as needed.
Answer telephone and follows through as necessary.
Release files as needed following proper protocol and maintain the record of such film loans within the PACS and RIS.
Assist with patient scheduling as required.
Greet patient pleasantly, confirms identification and explain examination procedure to the patient.
Operate ultrasonic equipment and evaluates sonograms for technical quality.
