Providence Health & Services Program Manager - CORE Financial Services in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling a Program Manager - CORE Financial Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Building A Portland in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Manage budgets across a range of research, data, and evaluation projects, as well as maintain the overall funding infrastructure for the department.

  • Help sustain the scientific work of Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) through a variety of financial functions.

  • Develop systems, standards and policies for project budgeting and project accounting across the department, including processes to ensure compliance with federal and state funding requirements.

  • Conduct department-wide financial analysis to identify gaps, and lead finance-related process improvement initiatives.

  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to drive consensus in developing project budgets.

  • Produce reports and projections to inform billing and resource allocation.

This role is in the Center for Outcomes Research & Education (CORE) department. CORE is a largely independent, mid-sized health policy research group specializing in social determinants of health.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (in an industry-related field)

  • 2 years of experience in business intelligence, financial reporting, or operational reporting

  • 7 years of experience with grants management and/or accounting

  • 2 years of pre-award and/or post-award grants management experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Finance or accounting course work

  • Process/workflow improvement training (such as Agile, Lean or SCRUM training and/or certification)

  • 2 years of managing/directing the work of teams from the planning through execution phases of complex projects
