Providence is calling a Program Coordinator Hospitalists - Hospitalists West (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Vincent in Portland, OR
We are seeking a Program Coordinator Hospitalists - Hospitalists West that will
provide ongoing leadership and operational support activities for the Hospitalist Programs. Collaborate with local medical directors as dyad partners
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support local Medical Directors with administrative responsibilities
Manage and assures physician schedule - including time off requests, LOA's and locums as needed
Maintain time cards and shift tracker
Provide support to medical directors with physician evaluation collecting data as needed and completing documents as needed
Actively facilitate hospitalists billing process and reviews bills as needed
Communicate with Hospitalist Coder and billing department to correct any error in billing or workflow
Perform 'Daily Divvy' of patients to hospitalists teams
Coordinate new hospitalists on-boarding - including scheduling of training and orientation, confirm appropriate access for each physician
Overall responsibility of departmental statistical reports: production, revenue, including admission / census reports, staffing data, cross cover call data, surge data, (pending reports in development from EPIC) - Supports local Medical Director with analysis of data reports
Assist the Senior Ops Manager and Medical Directors develop and maintain agreements for new primary care providers or groups utilizing the hospitalist service
Attend departmental and team meetings as required. Assists in scheduling, preparation of agendas and other meeting materials, write and distribute minutes
Work with local Medical Directors to provide individual quality projects to support the needs of the program and hospital
Process invoices and check requests
Monitor CME funds
Maintain departmental share-point site
Overall responsibility to assure appropriate inventory and ordering of office supplies
Ensure participation and compliance in all PMG and PHS programs
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Healthcare related -OR- three (3) years of experience
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Physician practice management or hospital medicine based experience
Coding and physician billing
