We are seeking a Director who will be accountable for Providence Saint Joseph Health IS technology integration initiatives, aiding in the extension of PSJH’s brand, vision and mission, through technical oversight of the system’s strategic partnerships, affiliations, acquisitions, IS provisioning and other strategic initiatives. esponsible for defining and driving the integration of organizations and technologies into the system’s technical landscape, while ensuring compatibility with current standards and future PSJH direction.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Guides team to engineer technical solutions to meet customer requirements with a balanced view toward performance, availability, data security, and cost effectiveness.

  • Manage customer expectations regarding integration efforts, including participation in relevant steering committees.

  • Maintain knowledge in strategy, healthcare trends, and technologies, applying appropriately to PSJH integration efforts.

  • Provides responsive leadership to delegate, coordinate, and motivate staff; evaluates performance for direct reports and for contractors/other peoples’ direct reports; works with individuals and HR to improve performance as needed.

  • Monitors the performance of the accountable disciplines to integrate technology and infrastructure services.

  • Builds consensus and drives to agreement upon a course of action where there are multiple perspectives.

  • Responsible for managing the daily activities of support, process, and new project activities for an integration team and coordinating the utilization of staff needed to assist with other projects.

  • Develop staff training plans and identifies opportunities for on-the-job training; recommends formal training options.

  • Establishes and maintains excellent standards in dealing with customers, vendors, and staff in the daily working of the team.

  • Appropriately escalates issues and/or problems on any customer impacting work.

  • Provides expertise in information technology vendor contracts and manages key vendor relationships.

  • Is meticulous in executing defined administrative practices – budgeting, financial management, personnel management, compliance, mission, and other defined areas.

  • Ensures systems are engineered for optimal availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Creates documents and refines operational processes.

  • Holds vendors responsible for delivery of contracted products and services.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of all information, including financial/operational, employee/human resource, healthcare/patient data and information.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, or other studies or equivalent education/experience.

  • 8 years experience Information Services technical leadership experience in leading infrastructure operations, engineering, or architecture teams.

  • 10 years experience in demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues; technical engineering and support; experience standardizing complex and disparate processes; experience in process improvement methodology, change management, and operational improvement in complex systems.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 12 years' experience with Citrix technologies (Virtual App, Virtual Desktop, NetScaler)

  • 4 years' experience with Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS)
