We are looking for a Nurse Manager - Family Birth Center at Petaluma Valley Hospital!
Location: Petaluma, California
Schedule : Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
Shift: 8-hour, Days
Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the care delivered by the inpatient Labor & Delivery unit, OB unit (mother-baby), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatrics. Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care units with accountability for leadership, overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing and controlling.
Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patients’ nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and met.
Ability to communication effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships within the organization
Ability to problem-solve, analyze situations, think critically, give constructive feedback and supervise and team with others
Knowledge and utilization of computer applications (Windows software)
- At least five (5) years recent experience in acute hospital setting in area of specialization
License / Certification:
Current California RN license required
If Labor & Delivery background, either AWHONN Intermediate EFM or Advanced EFM required
