Our team is looking for an experienced Clinical Program Assistant to join our Pelvic Floor Program at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. This is a part time, 8-hour day shift position, for a total of 40 biweekly hours.
Under general direction of the manager or supervisor the clinical program assistant supports the Pelvic Floor Program front and back office needs of the department/program. The assistant performs receptionist, secretarial and programmatic duties for the department/program. Activities may include developing and maintaining spreadsheets, graphs and program related statistics, coordinating meeting appointments for the department/program assigned. There may be patient activities that include, answering, screening and directing phone calls, greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, tests and other misc. items, and rooming patients.
Performs receptionist, secretarial and programmatic duties for the department/program. Develops and maintains spreadsheets, graphs and program related statistics, coordinating meeting appointments for the department/program assigned.
Assists in patient activities that include, answering, screening and directing phone calls, greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, tests and other misc. items, and rooming patients.
Demonstrates above average computer Skills using the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be Proficient in the use of an electronic medical record (EMR) ARIA, MEDITECH, and other computer programs i.e. ChartMaxx, Passport, Iatrix, scanning documents and can organize EMR eChart documents.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, telephone etiquette and customer service skills, including the ability to establish priorities based on customer and department needs.
Able to appropriately mange workload and stressful situations: ability to multi-task.
Demonstrates strong clerical and organizational skills.
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
Follows department guidelines for insurance specific requirements and performs necessary tasks required: insurance authorization, verification, provider notification or other tasks as needed for the department.
Demonstrates an attitude of cooperation and flexibility when responding to varying and unpredictable situations, including supporting other departments as needed.
Solves problems accurately and in a timely manner within the scope of the position, Applies critical thinking skills.
Above average computer Skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proficient in the use of an electronic medical record prefer ARIA and MEDITECH, and other computer programs i.e. ChartMaxx, Passport.

- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years Clerical experience in a health-related field.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
- Post-High School education.
