St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac & Vascular Interventional Lab in Orange, California

Our team is looking for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Lab at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. This is a full time, 10-hour day shift position for a total of 80 biweekly hours.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Develop knowledge and competency in performing I.R. and/or Cath Lab procedures.

  • Perform simple procedures for adult and pediatric patients.

  • Consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SJHS core values and the hospital’s mission statement.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all members of the heath care team and other personal in both providing and obtaining information.

Qualifications and Skills needed for this role:

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a Radiologic Technologist program.

  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Current Fluoroscopy Certification.

  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification with basic arrhythmia knowledge (within one year).

  • Ability to work effectively with others by demonstrating a team approach to patient care.

  • Ability to remain calm and critically think during critical or emergent procedures.

  • Flexibility to adapt to new and changing situations.

  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Experience as a Cath Lab or I.R. Radiologic Technologist.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

About the department you will serve:

The Interventional Catheterization Lab at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient care. The Cath Lab Technologist will support the MD during both interventional cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. This position will be responsible for panning, scrubbing and monitoring of patients. The shift that is expected is a 10-hour day however the lab sometimes has extended hours also has a stand-by requirement.
