Providence Health & Services Laboratory Point of Care Coordinator in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Laboratory Point of Care Coordinator (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Days) to work in Lab Point Of Care at Providence St Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

This position will perform a broad range of POC duties assigned by supervisor/manager with expanded responsibilities in interaction with many professionals outside the laboratory within the acute and PMG divisions. Troubleshoot instrumentation and process issues, including working with IT systems for POCT. This position will cover as Lead when supervisor/Manager is unavailable.
In this position you will:
Performs a broad range of Point of Care functions within the laboratory and PMG Division
Performs validation on new testing platforms when appropriate.
Assist in QA and QC for POCT.
Provides data analysis as requested.
Troubleshoots and resolves technical and operational issues for POCT.
Data analysis and review of PMG Laboratories POC testing
Covers the POC program as lead when supervisor/manager is out of office
Works with IT as needed to resolve POC interface issues
Able to provide necessary lists and statistics to supervisor/manager
Maintains individual records of training and competency assessment.
Assists in proficiency testing with preparation and documentation.
Assistants in System Standardization and implementation groups as needed
Identifies supply needs and orders inventory.
Possesses excellent communication skills and working relationships with all patient care areas.
Maintains expertise through continuing education: Share records of continuing education.
Other Duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science with 2 years experience in related field or;
Medical Laboratory Technician with 6 years experience in related field
2 years of experience as a MT/CLS or Medical Laboratory Technician with 6 years experience in related field
MT/CLS Certified or MLT Certified
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years of college in the field of science
Point of Care Specialist Certificate or Program
