Providence Health & Services Health Unit Coordinator - Emergency Services in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Health Unit Coordinator (0.9 FTE, Night Shift, 12 hour shift, 7pm-7am) to Emergency Services to work at Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) coordinate unit activities with ancillary departments and perform clerical support for the unit.
In this position you will:
Greets physicians, families and patients presenting to the nurses station and directs questions, comments or concerns to the appropriate individual.
Responds to phone calls and intercom from physicians, families, patients and nurses and directs request to appropriate individuals.
Performs clerical duties.
Maintains responsibility for professional growth AND promotes the unit with in the institution and the community.
Demonstrates ability to work with patients, managers and clients of various ages’ groups.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year Clerical experience in the medical field.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High School diploma or GED
