St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health I.R./Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab in Napa, California

We are looking for an I.R./Cath Lab Technologist - National Union with Health Workers with the Cardiac Cath Lab at Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

Location: Napa, CA

Work Schedule: On call/Per diem

Shift: 8 Hour Days

Job Summary:

The Special Procedure Technologist under the direction of a cardiologist and supervisor, and with latitude for independent judgement and initiative, performs all of the professional duties involved in the technical coordination of the cath lab service. Assumes the responsibility for exams performed and clerical duties as applied to the cath lab service.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Demonstrates the ability to evaluate a situation from many perspectives, consider various alternatives and act in a manner consistent with Medical Center and departmental policies

  • Basic computer skills

  • Operation of monitoring equipment

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education : Pass the basic cardiac rhythm interpretation test with a score of 80% or greater within one (1) month of hire or obtaining position

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

  • Current California license for Radiology Technology (CRT)

  • Current California license for Fluoroscopy (CRT-F)

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Experience : Acute hospital experience
