We are looking for a Director, Laboratory Services with Laboratory -

MV Department at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.

Location: Mission Viejo, CA

Schedule: Full-time 80 Biweekly Hour

Shift: 8 Hour Day Shift

Job Summary:

The Director, Laboratory Services is responsible for providing overall technical and administrative direction to the Clinical and Pathology Laboratories, and the Outpatient Testing Center. Regularly reviews and revises, as necessary, laboratory Policies and Procedures to ensure that they comply with current practice and all regulatory agency standards. Coordinates the provision of Laboratory services and serves as the general resource person for all departmental operations. Consistently demonstrates behaviors that model the SJHS core values and the Hospital’s mission statement.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate scientific field.

Experience:

  • Approximately seven to ten years of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain comprehensive technical and administrative knowledge on laboratory operations.

  • Two to five years of experience at Dept. Head or Assistant Dept. Head level in related field.

License / Certification: Valid State of California laboratory personnel license required.

Preferred Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in Hospital Management or Business Administration in order to maximize effectiveness in direction of the Laboratory.
