Providence is calling a Executive Director to Providence Medical Group in Medford, OR.
We are seeking a Executive Director who will lead the PMG South market and is accountable for partnering with key leaders to identify and scope appropriate growth opportunities. This individual will work with cross functional teams of PMG, clinical services at PMMC, clinical programs, home & community services, ambulatory services, PHP, finance, and planning and strategy experts to develop and execute specific physician alignment, clinical & strategic relationships and growth strategies in Southern Oregon, in service to the regional and system metrics.
This position has direct accountability over PMG South, including executive leadership as well as operational oversight of the PMG South primary and specialty clinics in Oregon. The Executive is responsible for the development of the strategic plan for growth & expansion for PMG South clinics, budgeting, project support, monthly reporting and management of teams and deliverables associated with priority strategies. This individual is accountable for engaging with PMG leadership, physicians and caregivers, PMMC leadership, Clinical Program leadership and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships.
The position will also provide leadership for other initiatives as requested by PMG Leadership.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Accountable for developing and implementing key strategies to support growth and service excellence across PMG South.
Work with local and regional teams across PH&S Oregon ministries and within PMG to identify and scope appropriate growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to build the Providence brand around services designed for unique population segments.
Collaborate with the Providence Medical Group and Physician Enterprise, PMMC, Ambulatory Division, Clinical Programs, and Home & Community Services to provide programs and services in Southern Oregon in service to the community's needs and to our growth strategies. Direct various projects related to growth, service and operational excellence.
Develop new models of care focused on primary and outpatient health services as well as partner with the PMG Value Team, the Providence health plan, clinical programs and key physician groups to develop new payment models (e.g. CCO models).
Lead and/or provide support for other strategic priorities on an as needed basis.
Represent PMG South clinical practices on PMMC committees and projects and regional committees as requested. Serve as a member of the PMG Leadership Team and the PMMC Leadership Team.
Collaborate effectively across PMG, clinical programs, hospital and with all clinical and business divisions to develop and/or enhance programs and service delivery in a coordinated way to best serve patients and the community.
Responsible for identifying performance and quality metrics and goals in collaboration with PMG, Physician Enterprise, PMMC, and physician and caregiver stakeholders. Works with key administrative and physician leaders in each clinical program and hospital departments and in Physician Enterprise to gain consensus and drive performance. Provides appropriate support for implementation in conjunction with key stakeholders.
Provide overall direction and leadership to PMG clinics in the Southern Oregon Market. Assure compliance with the laws, rules and standards of regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies.
Responsible for service area operations including budgeting, project support, monthly reporting and management of teams and deliverables associated with strategic growth priorities.
Provide relevant operational feedback to and from providers, clinic leadership and staff involved in operations and programs; recommend and influence strategic and tactical programs.
Guide and support clinic leadership in developing goals and annual operating budgets for assigned clinics and ensures that individual clinics are operating within budget guidelines and are meeting stated quality and productivity objectives.
Participate in budget/space/capital planning related to clinics. Monitors metrics including revenue, payor mix, productivity and expenditures.
Hire, train, guide, evaluate and provide leadership for clinic manager(s) to support the infrastructure needs of day-to-day operations of the clinics.
Lead and/or provide support for other strategic priorities on an as needed basis.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field
7 years Management experience; experience in progressively responsible roles with demonstrated leadership experience and strong project/change management skills (preferably within Healthcare)
Experience working in a large matrixed organization including experience with operations, finance, quality, risk and business growth & development
7 years Experience working with community and business leaders, physicians and other clinical leaders, finance and operations leaders and executives
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
Must have worked directly with healthcare leadership including physicians
Experience in building new business, developing and managing people and teams, designing and/or re-inventing systems and structures and aligning teams and individuals around priorities
Experience with developing and monitoring financial and operational accountability and reporting systems
Strategic thinking & planning: Experience in developing strategic and business plans, budgets and proforma
Operational Understanding and Effectiveness: Strong negotiation experience and proven track record in successfully developing and executing negotiation strategies for significant and complex relationships
