Covenant Health is seeking a full time Staffing Coordinator with the Staffing Office for Nursing at Covenant Medical Center. Evening shift
Under the general direction of the Staffing Operations Nurse Manager, is responsible for non-clinical office functions related to staffing of the Nursing Department, including maintenance of unit schedules, data management, processing of agency personnel, and coordination of Staffing Operations resource staff.
Oversees daily staffing in coordination with unit managers by reviewing schedules, completing staffing sheets, communicating with charge nurses, compiling needs, and organizing agency and Staffing Operations resource staff.
Assists nursing units in scheduling staff in order to meet daily staffing needs and requirements based on productivity standards and established target ratios.
Interacts daily with agency personnel, ensuring that only authorized agency staff is permitted to augment nursing staff.
Receives staff call-ins and documents appropriately.
Inputs schedule changes/assignments as required.
Works collaboratively with Payroll in assuring audits and charges for agency personnel are completed.
Performs those clerical functions related to scheduling and staffing the Nursing/Perioperative Services Department, scheduling, license and competency verification, data entry, timekeeping.
Participates in appropriate meetings and employs the team concept by assisting others assigned to the Staffing Operations Office/Perioperative Services
Helps implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the Staffing Operations Office/Perioperative Services.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education: H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent educ/experience
Preferred Position Qualifications:
1 year Medical/hospital background.
Acute care staffing experience
