Covenant Health is seeking a full time, day shift Athletic Trainer with the Sports Medicine Department at Covenant Medical Group.

Job Summary:

Promotes and provides athletic training services to the clients of the sports medicine department. Frequently provides services independently within the limitations and scope of the position. Minimal supervision required.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides athletic training services including prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of athletic injuries to clients of the sports medicine program.

  • Provide effective communication between athletes, parents, coaches, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

  • Travel to and from area schools and events to provide athletic training services on a weekly basis.

  • Assists in the strength and conditioning program by organizing workouts, utilizing software programs to create workouts, and supervision of workouts.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience :

  • Athletic training

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Athletic training in Texas

  • BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

License/Certification:

  • NATA certification
