St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Associate Patient Access Rep, Pulmonary Associates - Full time in Lubbock, Texas

Covenant Health is seeking a full time, day shift Associate Patient Access Representative with Pulmonary Associates.

Job Summary:

Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and organizing all aspects of the clinical team, including serving as a customer resource representative for administrative associates, caregivers, and patients as assigned by the Director Coordinates activities required for processing claims for payment. Requires minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Data entry of all billing and collection information.

  • Submits all data for insurance verification and prior authorization of therapies.

  • Assembles reports and information to be transmitted via modem or computer for billing.

  • Serves as an effective resource person for customer/patient information on all insurance claims. Assists other departments regarding changes, claim status and procedures as needed.

  • Assembles reports as requested by Director or Finance department.

  • Office Coordinator:

• Be accountable to do office payroll.

• Manage office supplies and equipment.

• Do cash entries and balance books.

• Compile end of month reports as required by Finance.

  • Collection Coordinator:

• Works to correct insurance claims and re-bill them.

• Works with patients and insurances to resolve collection issues.

• Perform on-call delivery duties on an occasional basis.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education :

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

Experience :

  • 1 year of related experience.

License/Certification:

  • Driver's license

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Experience :

  • 6 months of Computer experience
