Providence Business Office Support Assistant in Liberty Lake, Washington


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Business Office Support Assistant to our location in Liberty Lake, WA.

We are seeking a Business Office Support Assistant who will provide assistance to business office staff when needed, in a variety of Business Office roles. The roles are essentially administrative/clerical in nature, and may involve direct customer contact.

The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.

In this position you will:

  • Basic cash posting functions for patient payments.

  • Assist with insurance payment posting when needed.

  • Assist with credit or refund processing as needed.

  • Tracking of payments missing information or needing follow-up.

  • Make phone calls to payors or other vendors as needed to collect. information or request documentation.

  • Sort/process correspondence.

  • Miscellaneous mailing, scanning, printing duties.

  • Document and distribute meeting notes.

  • Order office supplies.

  • Other clerical tasks as necessary.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma.

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Skill in working effectively with customers and team members

  • Able to learn and retain new information quickly.

  • Able to perform basic functions on the computer.

  • Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Some college experience and/or currently enrolled in a college program.

  • 1 year business office or customer service.
