St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Lead Food Service Attendant - Food & Nutrition Svc - Full Time - Days in Levelland, Texas
Covenant Health is seeking for a Full Time Lead Food Service Attendant for Food & Nutrition Svc at Covenant Levelland.
Under the direction of the Non-Patient Supervisor, assists with the supervision and coordination of the activities of the cafeteria. Ensures that all food items are prepared in a quality manner and served on a timely basis. Coordinates goals and meets objectives of the hospital and department.
Responsible for calculating and making all deposits for the cashiers and Debitek in the absence of the supervisor.
Oversees the timeliness of all food preparation and serving in the cafeteria.
Assists the supervisor with maintaining accurate pricing for the cashier transactions and efficient and timely service for the customers.
Assists the supervisor with coordinating all staffing for the cafeteria and assists with the implementation of policies which follow the county, state and JCAHO guidelines for food safety and sanitation and oversees the staff to follow same guidelines.
Responsible for ensuring that all foods are served at the proper temperature and presented in an attractive manner.
Monitors effectiveness of departmental programs through quality control mechanisms i.e. HACCP, QI, QC monitors, customer.
Assists with controlling food costs by continuously monitoring food production and food waste.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
High school diploma
Two years’ experience in health care food service and/or restaurant environment.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Education: BS in Food and Nutrition or an A.A.S.
License: Certified in Serve-Safe food handling
