Swedish Health Services Manager Peri-Anesthesia and Endoscopy Services - Recovery in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish is looking for a Manager Peri-Anesthesia and Endoscopy Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in the Recovery Department at Swedish Issaquah located in Issaquah, WA.
Provide clinical oversight and administrative responsibility of Peri-anesthesia Services, including Pre-Operative/Pre-Procedural and Recovery Units, as well as Endoscopy Services. ECT will be included when appropriate.
Leads execution of the business strategy and participates in the business development throughout the peri-anesthesia and endoscopy service continuum, while ensuring that the perspective of clinical quality and patient safety is the driving force behind decisions and actions. Uses professional skill and experience in addition to industry standards, evidence-based practice, and comprehensive knowledge of factors contributing to quality patient care to influence organizational and service line effectiveness and efficiency.
In this position you will:
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, improving organization performance program and patient/customer safety standards.
Initiates staffing standards and staff selection in collaboration with managers/supervisors.
Evaluates work performance and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Develops budget and allocates funds within the budget to accomplish objectives.
Monitors variance against budget and actively participates in ministry monthly operating reviews.
Required qualifications for this position include:
BSN from an accredited school of nursing
Current RN licensure by the Washington State Department of Health
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
2 years management experience in the acute setting
3 years clinical experience in the procedural sedation units
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Management/Administration
