Swedish Health Services CT Technologist Certified in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a CT Technologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in CT Scanning at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
Performs a variety of technical and patient care procedures that require independent judgment utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner. Utilizes power injectors and monitoring equipment. Starts IVs and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast at the direction of the physician onsite. Provides exemplary customer service. Participates and is engaged in a team framework and maintains a positive approach and attitude. Continues to use their radiology technology experience doing diagnostic X-ray and Fluoroscopy work.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates complete understanding of multi-slice CT scan applications
Accurately provides diagnostic images and related functions
Demonstrates working knowledge of human anatomy to satisfactorily allow optimum positioning of patients for imaging procedure. Performs procedure in a manner which allows patients to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally
Demonstrates knowledge and application of radiation safety, use of protective devices and application of universal precaution techniques
Maintains up-to-date knowledge and information of current scan techniques
Required qualifications for this position include:
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology program
Radiologic Technologist registry by ARRT
Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license
Post primary certification in CT within 1 year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Two (2) years experience in medical imaging including 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Previous experience in a CT Scan department
