We are looking for a PCT II with Medical Oncology Department

at St. Jude Medical Center.

Location: Fullerton, CA

Schedule: Full-time 80 Biweekly Hour

Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift

Job Summary:

Under general supervision of a RN, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing basic nursing care for patients, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing a clean and safe environment. Performs 12 lead EKG under the direction of a RN or Nurse Manager. The Patient Care Technician is responsible for collecting and reporting of information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

Skills:

  • Able to communicate clearly.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Medical Terminology.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Successfully completed two semesters of an accredited clinical RN program. Or equivalent educ/experience

Experience: 1 year Acute care experience as a CNA.

License and Certification:

  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.

  • Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down:

• Dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Position Requirements:

Experience:

  • 1 year Acute care experience as a CNA.

  • Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down:

• Cardiac Monitoring experience.

License and Certification:

  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.

  • Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down:

• Dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire.
