We are looking for a I.R./Cath Lab Technologist with Cardiac

Cath Lab Department at St. Jude Medical Center.

Location: Fullerton,CA

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: Day

Job Summary:

Role and Responsibilities: The Special Procedures Technologist surgically assists the interventional radiologist and cardiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as obtains quality images, participates in providing for the safety and comfort of patients, assists in maintaining equipment and documentation for regulatory compliance

Information Management: Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with complete confidentiality and security. The Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab shall have access only to limited PHI (i.e. patient’s name, medical history, diagnosis etc.) as necessary to perform delegated duties. Access to PHI shall only be available when the staff is on duty and working.

Risk Management: Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.


  • Ability to work effectively with others by demonstrating a team approach to patient care. Knowledge of emergency procedures. Knowledge of radiation safety

  • Knowledge of sterile technique.

  • Knowledge of arterial and venous circulation.

Position Requirements:

Education: Successful completion of Radiologic Technologist program

Experience: One to two years of experience in diagnostic radiology

or two years experience in cardiac cath lab or special procedures

License and Certificate:

  • Current California Fluoroscopy Certificate

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) license

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license,

  • BLS,

  • Basic EKG

Preferred Position Requirements:


  • Two years acute care cath lab experience in a cardiac cath lab and/or special procedures.

  • Scrub experience in diagnostic and interventional modalities, both cardiac and special procedures.

License and Certificate: ACLS Certified
