We are looking for a Facilities Manager for the Central Transportation Department at St. Jude Medical Center.

Location Fullerton, CA

Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 8-hour, Days

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Support Services, the Facilities Manager has responsibilities which include planning, coordinating, implementing, and directing all aspects of the Call Center/PBX, Equipment Depot, and Transportation Services units.

Essential Functions:

  • Plans, leads, and organizes services provided by the hospital Call Center/PBX, Equipment Depot, and Transportation Services functions.

  • Directs and monitors all processes, data collection, and reporting for facilities support departments to identify trends and areas needing improvement.

  • Researches and implements new software and upgrades for TMS (work order system), EPIC, and EMS (event management system).

  • Develops and implements the concierge service program to include services offered to staff, patients, and visitors.

  • Monitors staffing plans based on the demands of the hospital.

  • Serves as a mentor to all direct reports by directing their goal setting and achievement efforts.

  • Develops, coordinates, and implements systems and procedures designed to address patient flow and financial efficiencies.

  • Assists with creating annual budgets with appropriate input from facility directors and managers.

  • Monitors and ensures that financial and productivity performance targets are achieved for all departments within span of control.

  • Provides direction regarding procedures that may result in improved operating performance and efficiency.

  • Assures compliance with all state, federal, and TJC requirements.

  • Actively participates on appropriate hospital committees.

Skills:

  • Ability to consistently function in an environment that includes varying, unpredictable, or crisis circumstances while exercising appropriate interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required; Access preferred.

  • Strong customer service skill; ability to work with peers to provide outstanding customer service.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly toward the best outcome possible.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or healthcare-related field

Experience:

  • 3 years Progressive healthcare managerial experience

  • 2 years Customer service-based supervisory experience
