Providence EEG Technician - Electroencephalography in Everett, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a EEG Technician (Per Diem, Day Shift) to work for Electroencephalography Department at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist to provide

will perform neurodiagnostic studies as ordered by the physicians in accordance with current departmental policies and procedures.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.

  • Performs a variety of routine Neurodiagnostic procedures including all types of EEG and Evoked Potentials

  • Performs a variety of special procedures including Video Telemetry, OR Monitoring, mini-sphenoidal, and electrocerebral silence studies

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the computer system and other Neurodiagnostic equipment

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree or two year technical program completed within 9 months of hire.

  • Accredited Neurophysiology training program or equivalent educ/experience

  • Board Certification is required, either ABRET or CRET. Within 9 months of hire.

  • BLS - Must complete with the first available class.

  • Must complete Registry Exam within one year of hire.
