Providence Director of Care Management in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Director of Care Management (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA. The role requires a broad knowledge of Case Management principles including but not limited to; performance improvement, healthcare finance (including contractual arrangements and utilization/quality metrics), regulatory standards, discharge planning, social services, utilization management, industry benchmarks, demonstrated regulatory requirement experience and medical necessity criteria.
Position Details: This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits.
In this position you will:
Direct activities in Transition Planning, UM/UR and CDS functions.
Manage HR issues.
Provide expertise in Case Management to Nursing and Medical Staff.
Lead interdisciplinary efforts to address complex patient discharge issues.
Develop new relationships/processes to support timely discharges.
Accountable for budgetary compliance in departments reporting to the role.
Lead department specific process improvement and engages in house wide PI work.
Remain current in all regulations that impact areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with Regional Director of Care Coordination to build bridges with PMG and other provider group to ensure care coordination across the continuum.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, MSW, healthcare administration, or related field
Transition Planning and Utilization Management experience
Compliant Documentation experience
5 years experience in Acute Care setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
License and Certifications: RN, MSW and/or Case Management
