Swedish Medical Center is looking for Registered Nurses - ED for Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. Openings include full-time, part-time and per-diem (on-call) positions as well as multiple shifts.

Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for working in a team environment using a multidisciplinary approach, with a team of care providers, providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. With passion, skill, creativity, respect, and a positive approach, RNs assume accountability to peers, and function as a strong team players in caring for patients.
In this position you will:
Provide nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Be responsible for delegation and supervision of personnel, as stated above, that participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 6 years of hire.
1 year of acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at that facility.
Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire
A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN
Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader
RNs employed prior to 1/1/13 are encouraged to obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Nursing, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment
Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
Proficiency with Information Technology; such as electronic health records, communications systems, computers and equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the position.
Skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
Ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
